Not sure I follow your statement. If you're using the latest version, then you should not be seeing that error. Prior to ESXi 5.0u1, vim-cmd had different syntax for snapshot removal and there was a recent updated that was introduced in ESXi 4.1u2 (IRRC) which was also included in ESXi 5.0u1 and hence it'll check to see if the host has the "old" or "new" syntax. In either case, it should properly handle it.
It would helpful if you gave more details on where you're seeing this error in terms of executing the script and provide the log output as stated by the FAQ in pastebin.
